If you can’t get out to the gym, bring the gym home!
1. Find a space.
Whether it’s dedicated space you carve out in a garage or spare room, or a corner of the bedroom or den, you need:
Room to move freely
Storage for equipment
Comfortable, temperature-controlled space to spend time in
2. Purchase your equipment.
You don’t really need big, heavy equipment in a home gym. And if you work out along with online classes, just a few basics will get you going.
Yoga mat
Dumbbells
Resistance bands
Full-length mirror (helps you keep your form)
Also consider: stability ball, jump rope, foam roller, balance discs
3. Use it.

Your home gym is a waste of space and money if you aren’t working out. Let’s get moving!
